主要研究工作包括建立在高分子化学基础上的有机纳米粒子的合成与应用,和萎缩性肌强直I型的治疗,在高分子合成与应用、纳米技术以及化学生物学领域积累了大量的工作经验并取得了一系列创新性成果。

2010年以来共发表学术论文10余篇,其中以第一作者或共同第一作者在包括J. Am. Chem. Soc, Chem. Soc. Rev., ACS Nano, Chem. Sci., Chem. Commun. 等国际著名期刊上发表论文8篇,以共同作者在包括Nat. Commun., Macromolecules, Biomacromolecules等期刊上发表论文3篇。发表论文总引用次数二百余次,因优异科研成绩获得R.C. Fuson Fellowship, Lubrizol Fellowship等奖项,研究成果获得了国际同行的广泛关注和肯定,多次在美国化学会年会中做相关的学术报告。白玉罡博士在美工作期间也曾同世界化工企业巨头Sigma-Aldrich和Dow Chemical公司合作,分别研究大规模合成聚多肽的工业可行性方案和自催化降解塑料的合成。
